, Parish Minister
This congregation called the Rev. Frank Clarkson to be its minister in April of 2008, and he began his ministry here the following August. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Frank previously worked as a freelance commercial photographer before he discerned a call to the ministry. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge in 2004 and was ordained to the Unitarian Universalist ministry in 2005. For three years he served as the assistant minister at the North Parish of North Andover. Frank has been married to Tracey for over twenty-five years and they are happy to be the parents of two young adults, Will and Emma. In his spare time, Frank enjoys spending time with Tracey, fly fishing and camping, and solitude.
, Office Administrator
Lisa Compton joined the UUCH staff in October of 2011. She has previously worked as a church organist, a church administrator and a museum director. She and her husband Matthew live on the Merrimack River in Haverhill. We are grateful to have someone with Lisa's organizational abilities on our staff!

Nate De Young joined our staff in September of 2015. A music major in college, he studied oboe, English horn and organ. Nate has previously worked at churches in Vermont and Massachusetts. A gifted and expressive pianist, Nate truly loves making music and sharing music with others. During the week, he works as a baker in a test kitchen in Salem, MA, and he regularly blesses us with his baked goods!

, Director of Religious Education
Clare Fortune-Lad joined the UUCH Staff in September of 2016. She comes to us from Southern Maine where she has been an active member of the Sanford UU Church since the age of 3. Growing up UU shaped her spiritually and professionally, as she has always had a passion for social justice and multiculturalism. Before moving to Haverhill, Clare worked as a Community Educator at a Domestic Violence Resource Center in Maine. She has her Masters in Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver and looks forward to joining our congregation in making their vision of Religious Education a reality. Clare met her husband Kyle at Dartmouth College and they now face the wondrous challenges of raising a feral Maine Coon Cat named Aslan together.
, Sunday Morning Sexton
Frank Gauvin has been a UU for at least twenty years. His philosophy is to leave things better than he finds them, and he practices that in a number of ways. Frank came to Haverhill about 14 years ago and has been part of our church ever since. For the past seven years he has been our Sunday Morning Sexton. He helps with general maintenance of the building and grounds and helps with 'whatever needs to be done.' During the week he works full time at a roofing company and spends his free time enjoying his friends and the great outdoors. Frank plays a particularly vital role here on Sunday mornings--in addition to the usual sexton tasks, he makes the coffee, and he's good at it!
Fred joined our staff in June of 2015, having previously worked at the Haverhill Citizen Center. Fred's commitment to keeping our building clean and orderly is evident all around! He is handy with tools and a real asset to our church.
, Choir Director
We're happy to welcome Lisa, who worked as our interim music director during the 2014-15 church year, back to UUCH as our choir director! Lisa works as a drama teacher and choral director at Newburyport High School.
