SATURDAYS DOORS OPEN FROM 2:30-4:00 PM

Community Meals offers a fresh cooked meal with an emphasis on fresh food including farm fresh produce and meat. UUCH feeds friends and neighbors on the first, third, and fifth Saturdays of the month.

The Giving Chalice

In the front left corner of the sanctuary you'll find the giving chalice, the place to leave non-perishable items to donate to the Liz Murphy Open Hand Pantry.

 

Liz Murphy Open Hand Pantry

St James and St John the Baptist collaborate to sponsor a food pantry located in the UUCH basement, which is open on Tuesday afternoons from 2-7 pm. For more information about the Open Hand Pantry, including how to volunteer and donate, click here.  

Community Action Drop In Center

On weekday mornings, the UUCH basement houses the CAI Drop-In Center, which serves as Haverhill's only drop-in day program for the area's homeless and indigent individuals. Open Monday through Friday from 8 am until noon, the Drop-In Center serves hot breakfast and coffee, and offers other kinds of support for people in need.  is open until noon Monday through Friday. Community Garden

In the summer we maintain raised bed gardens by the church on Ashland Street. The vegetables grown in the garden are donated to local food pantries, Community Meals, and the Community Action Drop-In Center.
